Hungary: A Balloon Rises over Budapest

Since May 1, the Hungarian capital Budapest has one more exciting visitor attraction on offer. In the historic garden of Heroes’ Square (near the Széchenyi Thermal Bath), the new large balloon supplied by the French company Aerophile lifts off the ground into the air and has already carried 850 guests only on its opening day. The red- and white-striped design of the balloon cover was inspired by the painting “The Balloon” (1878/Hungarian: Léghajó) by painter Pál Szinyei Merse. The balloon is operated by Balloning4YOU, a company specialized in hot air ballooning trips in the Budapest region. (eap)
