Iceland’s Þorlákshöfn Swimming Pool Gets “HurriCone” Water Slide
(eap) The Þorlákshöfn Swimming Pool, part of the sports center in Þorlákshöfn in southwest Iceland, is to receive two new slides, which are scheduled for completion in spring 2025. These are two tube slides from the Dutch manufacturer iPlay Water Attractions. An existing open wide slide in the outdoor area of the pool will in future share the landing pool with a tube slide that is almost 80 meters long and 9.5 meters high. The second slide will be more than 50 meters long, feature a “HurriCone” element and end in a separate landing pool. Both slides are designed to appeal to the whole family and will be accessible via an enclosed and heated staircase around twelve meters high. ■
