(eap) At France’s Complexe Aquatique Sceneo, located in St. Omer in the north of the country, bathing guests can discover two new water slides. During recent renovation works, the complex’ former indoor fiberglass water slide was dismantled – at its site, there are two new attractions now. The German company of wiegand.waterrides supplied a giant water slide and a wave slide to the water complex. In cooperation with its French partner CARATECH, the manufacturer installed the 48-meter-long tube slide at a height of over four meters. A special feature is its first curve, which is suspended from the ceiling (instead of having been constructed on supports). The wave slide is 16.9 meters long and starts from a height of approx. three meters. Both attractions are made of stainless steel and were painted in blue on the outside.

In addition to the water slides, the Complexe Aquatique Sceneo – or rather its “Espace Aquatique” – offers a 25-meter sports pool, a leisure pool with massage jets and a 130-square-meter activity pool. In addition, there are also the “Espace Wellness” and “Espace Fitness” areas, which also offer relaxation, further sports and health activities. ■
