Italien: Around the World in 80 Days – Red Raion Presents New Licensing Movie for Media-Based Attractions

Red Raion, the Italian CGI studio specializing in films for media-based attractions, recently announced the production of a new film that is a modern reinterpretation of the well-known Jules Verne adventure novel from 1873. In “Around the World in 80 Days – Journeys of Wonders”, the characters “Phileas Fogg” and his eccentric valet “Passepartout” embark on a journey around the world to find “Miss Auda”, a fascinating and brilliant explorer who is waiting for them in a mysterious place. Along the way, the two travelers will discover the seven new wonders of the world, from the Colosseum in Rome to the Great Wall of China and the Taj Mahal in India. Beautiful landscapes and incredibly real environments will be featured in the film.

Valeria Rizzo, Business Development Director at Red Raion, explains, “[…]Our clients have been asking us to produce a movie where people could see beautiful landscapes and incredible real environments: this is why our first licensed title of 2022 will be a deeply immersive experience for people of all ages who want to live a magical adventure to discover the most incredible beauties of our world, all without moving from their cinema seats.” “[…] For the visuals, we are using warm colors and oneiric atmospheres to reproduce the real, breathtaking environments our characters will visit […],” adds the company’s Creative Director, Sara Menegazzi.

There will be two different versions of the film: one for 5D theaters and VR simulators, and one for dome and flying theater applications. Those who experience the movie in 5D and VR will travel around the world in trains, cars, ships and horses; those who see it in a dome theater or flying theater will travel on a hot air balloon. The new movie is scheduled to be released later this year. (eap)
