Miriam Mack Appointed Honorary Consul of Croatia

(eap) Miriam Mack was appointed Honorary Consul of Croatia in Baden-Wuerttemberg with office in Freiburg earlier this month at a festive reception in Hotel Krønasår (part of the Europa-Park Erlebnis-Resort).
Numerous guests of honor and politicians from Germany and Croatia attended the event, including the Consul General of the Republic of Croatia in Stuttgart Ivan Sablic, the Ambassador of the Republic to the Federal Republic of Germany Gordan Bakota and the State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs Andreja Metelko-Zgombi.
“I am delighted to have been appointed Honorary Consul of the Republic of Croatia, I am very pleased. It is a matter close to my heart to represent the country from which I come and with which I have very close ties, here in Baden-Wuerttemberg. This enables me to build further bridges to connect business, culture and people,” says Miriam Mack.
Since spring 2024, the Croatia-themed area, which features the “Voltron Nevera powered by Rimac” roller coaster as well as the interactive “Croatian Inspiration” exhibition, has been part of Europa-Park’s offering. This exhibition, co-produced by Croatian-born Miriam Mack, provides exciting insights into Croatia’s greatest achievements and inventions. In the VEEJOY series “A Journey through Croatia”, viewers can also see how Miriam Mack visits the most beautiful areas of the island state in order to be inspired by Croatia’s authentic attitude to life for the new themed area at Europa-Park.
Miriam Mack is responsible for health management at the park, and this summer saw the opening of the “Feel Good Health Center”, which she founded. In addition, Mack is also committed to the bilateral exchange between Germany and Croatia and wants to continue these activities in her role as Honorary Consul. One of the honorary consul’s main tasks is to further promote economic and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
The Mack family, who own Europa-Park, have been committed to the European idea and the strengthening of cultural relations since the park was founded in 1975. Michael Mack, husband of Miriam and Managing Partner of Europa-Park and CEO of Mack ONE, has been Honorary Consul of France since 2018. ■
