Mobile Moviemax Theater Attraction Debuts at Azur Park in St. Tropez
(eap) The transportable Moviemax interactive movie theater presented last autumn by Belgian manufacturer Alterface (see EAP Trade Show Report in issue 6/2023) celebrated its debut a few weeks ago as a new attraction at Azur Park in the southern French coastal town of Saint-Tropez. The ride is operated there by showman Léo Vestiggel, who is particularly pleased with the new ride. “Collaborating with Alterface was a wonderful experience. Their interactive technology brought my vision for a vintage cinema carousel to life. Together, we created an attraction that honors my family’s legacy and brings highly interactive entertainment to fairs and events,” said the 4th generation showman.
The fully themed, 90 square meter mobile theater is equipped with motion-based seats for a total of 13 guests per run. Interactive and 3D technologies as well as a range of different special effects – including wind, water and smoke – are designed to make the respective film content especially exciting. In order to appeal a wide target group, there are four different short contents to choose from: “Popcorn Revenge”, “Desperados Cowboys”, “Dinosaurland” and “Zombie Attack”. The attraction is completed by hundreds of light bulbs, ticketing, a queue line and a photo booth. ■
