Netherlands: Efteling Opens New Hotel & Redesigned Theme Area in 2024

The Dutch Efteling theme park is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is looking to the future with confidence despite the current pandemic-related closure of cultural and leisure facilities in the Netherlands. The plans are comprehensive: in 2024, Efteling wants to open a new, seven-storey hotel with two restaurants and a wellness area, which is to be built right next to the main entrance on the park grounds and will add further accommodation capacity to Efteling‘s existing two holiday parks and two hotels. In addition, construction work will soon begin to completely redesign a theme area of the park – a project, which is also scheduled for completion in 2024. The theme area is located between the “Pardoes Promenade“, the “Baron 1898“ dive coaster (by B&M) and the “Max & Moritz“ family roller coaster (Mack Rides). We did not take the decision to make these investments lightly, because the pandemic makes many things uncertain.
