New “El Dorado Water Park” in the Caribbean
(eap) A new water park opened last weekend in the Caribbean paradise of Cap Cana, Dominican Republic, just 10 kilometres from Punta Cana’s international airport. The El Dorado Water Park covers an area of around 80,000 square meters and offers over 20 different attractions in four different zones. The fully themed park was designed in the appropriate style based on the myth of the golden city of “El Dorado”. Up to 3,500 visitors a day can swim, slide and relax in the new El Dorado “Water Temple”.
Photo: Courtesy of El Dorado Water Park In addition to a wave pool, a lazy river, a snorkelling canyon and river as well as seven different recreation and rest areas, there is also plenty attractions for the adventurous to discover. These include a mat racer slide, body slides, a funnel and a bowl slide, which can be used in two or four-person rafts. In addition, a family-friendly zipline and an adrenaline zipline will soon be added to the offer. Also, there is a selection of age-appropriate bathing options, playgrounds and slides for the youngest guests. All water attractions are supplied by Canadian manufacturer ProSlide. Visitors to the water park will also find a shop and six different gastronomic offerings to satisfy their hunger and thirst.

There are six VIP villas, each with a bathroom, living areas, an infinity pool, VIP service and a special view of the stage, which can be rented exclusively for concerts and events. The arena was inaugurated at the beginning of October with a concert by Elton John. ■
