New “Papa Moll Water World” Promises Fun at Switzerland’s Therme Zurzach
(eap) The Swiss Therme Zurzach thermal spa, located on the border to Germany, has recently opened a new children’s area with a water slide. In the “Papa Moll Water World”, as the new area is called, a 25 square meter pool with water-spraying figures and air jets awaits young guests. On the ceiling above the pool, some 2,000 LED lights create a unique underwater world, turning the bathing experience into something special. Also, there is a new water slide from Klarer Freizeitanlagen, which is eight meters high and 61 meters long. It is partly made of transparent acrylic glass, which enables a view of the surrounding landscape during the slide time. Furthermore, it is also equipped with animated modules.
The name and theming of the area is inspired by the children’s book character “Papa Moll” created by Edith Oppenheimer. A total of CHF 3.4 million (around EUR 3.6 million) was invested in the construction of the new Kids’ water world, which has been created by the firm fit & wellness concept. A total of 1,000 visitors took part in a survey in advance, by which the desire for a large slide and an extended children’s area had been communicated. This wish has now been fulfilled with the Papa Moll Water World. ■
