New “Snow White” Musical at Plopsaland De Panne
(eap) Plopsaland De Panne on the West Flemish coast near the French border has recently launched a new musical. The fairytale production “Snow White” will be performed exclusively in the Studio 100 Theater and can be visited throughout the summer.
The fairy tale is well known to everyone and yet Studio 100 surprises visitors with a makeover. While Ianthe Tavernier in the leading role as Snow White and Michiel De Meyer as the charming prince bring the story to life with romance and suspense, Ruth Beeckmans portrays the queen as both comical and delightfully evil.
The stage set consists of large flying LED screens and huge set pieces. During the performance, the audience gets to see a variety of settings –seven different sets in the castle, four in the castle gardens, three forest scenes, the hut of the seven dwarves and a glimpse into the magic mirror...
“It was a magical and nostalgic afternoon for me. The cast and crew have worked incredibly hard and it was clear to see on stage. It is an honor to be able to bring this timeless fairy tale back to life for audiences of all ages. We can't wait to share this magic with our guests throughout the summer,” said Gert Verhulst, founder of Studio 100, after the musical premiere.
For guests staying at the Plopsa Hotel, admission to the magical show is included. ■
