New Forest Rope Park at Killary Fjord in Ireland
(eap) Located at Ireland’s only fjord, Killary Harbour, Killary Adventure Company has been offering various outdoor activities since 1981. These include kayaking and water skiing, different adventure challenges, a giant swing, and an educational high ropes course. This summer, complementing the educational high ropes course, a forest ropes course with zipline elements was created, which is approved for children six years and older. A total of 39 climbing elements and ten ziplines can be climbed here with a continuous belay system by French company Coudou Pro. The ziplines lead over the road and across the forest – the longest zipline offers fun over a length of 80 meters. On the highest platform, at a height of eleven meters, climbers are rewarded with a beautiful view over Killary Fjord. The location near the water is taken up thematically by a climbing exercise with a wakeboard as well as an element with integrated kayaks. The new forest rope park was installed by the German company faszinatur. ■
