New Slide Experience at Aquabella Mutterstadt

(eap) The Aquabella leisure pool in Mutterstadt, Germany, opened a new multimedia slide experience this week after the previous slide was closed and refurbished since mid-March this year after more than 20 years in operation. The RR1200 tube slide (tube diameter 120 cm) from Aquarena is now fully insulated and offers 63 meters of sliding fun with a height difference of 6.5 meters, ending in an indoor landing pool. Visitors will also be particularly pleased about the new timing system and the slide’s light and sound system, which were implemented by WEAD Light Engineers.

Thanks to the insulation, the energy costs for operating the slide will be reduced enormously compared to the previous slide. The new waterslide in the leisure pool, which is run by the Rhein-Pfalz district, is being co-financed with funds from the Federal Funding Program for Efficient Buildings – Non-residential Buildings. ■
