New Slide Park in the Speikboden Ski Area
(eap) The Speikboden ski area in the Ahrntal vacation region in South Tyrol, Italy, has recently added a new summer attraction to its offering. Six landscape slides (seven lanes) from German manufacturer Wiegand Slides offer guests a total of 240 meters of sliding fun. The new stainless-steel slides are two short slides, a double-lane wave slide and three tube slides, which are graded in difficulty levels like those of ski slopes: blue for beginners, red and black for advanced and “professional” sliders.
The superslides in the so-called “Cross Woods” slide park can be reached on foot or by mountain railroad. For a rental fee of five euros, visitors receive a slide carpet that they can use as long and often as they want during one day. In addition to the new offer, the Speikboden cable cars already offer a wide range of summer activities for families. These include a petting zoo, pony rides, a children’s climbing path and a hay bouncing and plane station.
