Opening of the World of Frozen at HKDL Set for November
(eap) In November, the world’s first “Frozen”-themed area will celebrate its premiere at Hong Kong Disneyland. Entitled as the park’s largest expansion, the new themed area will include two new attractions in addition to an impressive realization of the “Arendal” landscape. On the one hand “Frozen Ever After”, which is a boat ride that will immerse visitors in the world surrounding the sisters “Anna and Elsa”. The Disney characters will be represented by life-size audio-animatronics figures – true to life, the Elsa figure will perform the well-known movie song “Let it Go”. Just recently, Michael E. Moriarty, Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland, released a short video of a test ride on the attraction, which he describes as “an absolute dream come true”.
On the other hand, visitors can look forward to the Frozen-themed family roller coaster “Wandering Oaken’s Sliding Sleighs” (where everything indicates that it is a junior coaster from the Dutch manufacturer Vekoma). In addition, a snack bar and merchandise outlets await visitors. Frozen-themed areas are to follow at Tokyo Disney Sea (2024) and Disneyland Paris (2025). ■
