(eap) The Portuguese outdoor water park Parque Aquático de Amarante in north-western Portugal, around 60 km from Porto, is not only celebrating its 30th anniversary this year, but also has two new water slides in its attraction portfolio. These include a “Lotus” raft slide from wiegand.waterrides of the “Compact Rafting” type. Bathers can slide down the 135-meter-long and more than two-meter-wide “Monster Lotus” slide in rafts for three to four people.

The second newly opened slide is a 15-metre-high and 44-metre-long freefall slide called “Vertigem”, which was also supplied by wiegand.waterrides. Both slides have been given a “monster” theme, which is why Vertigem’s tube has daylight effects in the form of eyes, scratch marks and teeth.
