Rorschach Public Pool Offers Slide with a View

(eap) Since this season, the Strandbad Rorschach public outdoor pool on Lake Constance in the Swiss canton of St. Gallen is offering a new tube slide from Klarer Freizeitanlagen. With a length of around 78 meters (256 feet), the slide features open as well as closed sections, daylight effects and two Fake Slide modules. These give bathers the illusion that the slide is straight, although the actual route is a curve. One of these elements allows guests to enjoy a magnificent view over the adjacent Lake Constance. The body slide starts at a height of around eight meters and has a maximum capacity of 240 people per hour.
Besides the new slide, the Rorschach lido offers a 50-metre sports pool, a non-swimmers’ pool and a children’s pool. For those who prefer to swim in Lake Constance, there is direct access via a footbridge or steps on the shore. Furthermore, the bath offers food and beverages as well as a playground for young visitors. ■
