SEA LIFE Florida Opens in May

(eap) LEGOLAND^® Florida Resort in Winter Haven is currently being expanded to include a Merlin midway attraction under the SEA LIFE brand, for which the opening date has now been announced: The visitor aquarium will open its doors for the first time on May 23, 2025.

Visitors can look forward to 25 exhibits, some of which are interactive, including a large seawater main pool with a unique “Theme Park Under the Sea” design. This theme, which has not yet been implemented in any other Sea Life aquarium worldwide, is reflected in a kind of coral castles, carousel hideaways and hotel-like rooms, all of which are designed to provide the animals living in the tank with numerous shelters and retreats while they explore their underwater world. In addition, highlights will include a freshwater gallery, a colorful ray cove and a tank for invertebrates that can be carefully touched by visitors. In total, guests will be able to discover more than 3,000 animals from 150 species – both from Florida’s coastal waters and from around the world.

In the run-up to the opening of Sea Life Florida – incidentally the second Sea Life aquarium in the US state, there is another at ICON Park in Orlando – LEGOLAND Florida is organizing a scavenger hunt for young park guests from 22 February to 9 March. Those wishing to take part will receive a handout with clues to find a total of four LEGO sea creatures in the “Fun Town” area of the park. Those who successfully complete the scavenger hunt will receive a souvenir gift. ■
