Spain: PortAventura Launches Five-Star-Hotel Mansión de Lucy

On the occasion of its 20^th anniversary, PortAventura theme park resort (near Barcelona) will open its first five-star hotel shortly after the start of the 2015 season this spring. The new hotel “Mansión de Lucy”, which used to be part of Hotel Gold River so far, is scheduled to open on 2^nd April. Based on the design of an opulent, American, 19^th century-style mansion, Mansión de Lucy will feature 28 Deluxe Superior rooms and two suites, including luxury hotel features such as private hotel entrance, reception and lobby bar, personal concierge, exclusive à la carte restaurants, spa, gym, and express premium wristbands for easier access to the theme park. The 1^st of June will see the opening of the new “Callaghan Building” as part of the Hotel Gold River, featuring 78 deluxe rooms. Due to the expansion, the four-star Hotel Gold River will be the largest hotel of the resort comprising five hotels in total. Over ten million euro will be invested in the two expansions. (eap)
