Tropical Islands’ New OHANA Hotel Complex to Open in April
(eap) The Tropical Islands vacation resort near Berlin recently announced that its new “OHANA” hotel complex is set to open in April this year. The ground-breaking ceremony for the extension was held in early summer last year – the modular construction by Volumetric Building Company enabled a fast completion. The new hotel complex adds 150 rooms with Hawaiian flair to the resort, offering a total of some 500 additional beds.
There are three different room categories to choose from: the “Comfort Plus Room”, the “Luxury Room” and the “Comfort Plus Family Room”. The first two room types offer space for up to two guests each, while the family room can be occupied by up to two adults and three children. The luxury version offers a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and an extra-large bathroom with a double bathtub, TV, sound and lighting system.
“OHANA is in its final phase. The first rooms can already be reserved. We are looking forward to welcoming the first guests to our little Hawaiian paradise very soon,” says Tropical Islands General Manager Chris Jung.
In addition to the new accommodation options, visitors can also enjoy “OHANA Town”, an 800 square meter entertainment area on the first floor of the building. Here, guests can enjoy six bowling lanes, a karaoke box, board games, shuffle board, billiards and darts as well as a restaurant and bar. Not only Tropical Islands visitors can use the new entertainment facilities, also day guests are welcome.
“We are confident that OHANA will not only meet the needs of our overnight guests, but will also attract day visitors from the region,” adds Jung.
A total of around 30 million euros has been invested in the new hotel complex on the east side of the tropical hall. ■
