Turisede Leisure Park Heralds New Phase for “Turiuswinkel”

(eap) The Geheime Welt von Turisede (Secret World of Turisede), formerly Kulturinsel Einsiedel (Cultural Island Einsiedel), has entered a new phase with its Polish sister park Turiuswinkel. Since 2007, the German company Künstlerische Holzgestaltung Bergmann, which operates its playground equipment production site and the unconventional Turisede leisure park directly on the border with Poland, has initiated operations also in the neighboring country. The company team is bilingual and there is a bridge and a coffee raft on the Neisse River, which forms part of the German-Polish border. Also, there is the already mentioned separate Turiuswinkel Park in Poland.

This is connected to the Secret World of Turisede via an adventure trail and, although it originated before the Covid-19 pandemic, it could not be developed further in recent years due to the global health crisis, other project priorities and a lack of staff. Last weekend, a new start was made with a new entrance, several new play objects and overnight accommodation options such as tree house glamping and the so-called “Schamanenschaluppe” (Shaman’s Sloop) – see photo. Furthermore, the focus is also on animals such as kangaroos, emus and water buffalos as well as budgerigars. The latter are housed in a new large, walk-in aviary. ■
