Turkey: Polin Waterparks Achieves R&D Center Certification
Polin Waterparks, one of the leading manufacturers of water attractions headquartered in Turkey, recently received the official certification for its in-house research and development (R&D) center by the Turkish Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology. Polin is the first company in its sector to achieve this certification within Turkey, which requires the applicant to meet some strict criteria, amongst others to operate an independent R&D department within the organizational structure. Further requirements are to conduct research and development activities and to employ experienced R&D designers and engineers dedicated to this field who are located inside the company’s building or campus. Founded in 1976, Polin Waterparks currently employs 46 R&D designers and engineers.
Ali Cansun, Polin’s R&D Director, is proud of the certification: “It is just one more opportunity for us to showcase our dedication and commitment to the waterpark industry. This year, our goals include an increase in the productivity of our products and services. We also will be focused on even greater innovation and quality for our customers,” he said. By continuing to invest in R&D, Polin Waterparks aims to successfully serve the industry through technology and innovation and to maintain its pioneering identity. (eap)
