UAE: New Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai Puts Emphasis on Family Fun
Located off the coast of Dubai’s Deira district, the Deira Islands are a manmade created group of four islands (developed by the state-owned project development and real estate company Nakheel) whose diverse offerings include luxury residences, hotels, lifestyle projects and marinas.
One of these islands is home to the new Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai, a four-star, 607-room resort that caters especially to young families and focuses primarily on entertainment and activity for young and old. After the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort Pattaya in Thailand and the Centara Mirage Resort Mui Ne in Vietnam, the hotel resort in Dubai will be the third Mirage-flagged property of Thailand’s Centara Hotels & Resorts hotel group in the world. In addition to an 18,000-square meter beach area, guests who stay at the hotel in Dubai can also enjoy a water park with a lazy river, swimming pools, water slides and a spray park.
The hotel’s own spray park was implemented by the Canadian company Empex Watertoys, who integrated various interactive play elements here for toddlers and preschool children up to the age of twelve. The central element is the “Aquadunker”, a large tipping bucket that keeps filling up with water and, once full, pours over guests with a big splash. Various other elements as well as a classic water cannon are also part of the area. A colorful soft foam on the ground provides a safe play surface for all. (eap)
