UAE: New Stainless-Steel Slide Complements Attraction Portfolio at WTC Mall Abu Dhabi

At the World Trade Center Mall (WTC Mall) in Abu Dhabi, the new “Velocity“ stainless-steel slide, which is according to the operator “the longest and tallest stainless-steel slide in the Middle East“, opened two days ago. A total of two new tube slides, which were delivered to the desert city by the German manufacturer Wiegand, wind from the top floor to the ground floor and can be used by visitors who are at least 110 centimetres tall. On a length of 68 and 54 metres respectively, the sliders experience speeds of two to three m/s during the ride. Slide number one is a closed stainless-steel tube slide with LED spotlights inside. Number two is a model with a transparent polycarbonate cover to allow mall visitors to observe the slide action from the outside. The latter is also equipped with eight double LED rings that can be freely controlled to change colour. (eap)
