USA: Construction of New “Tron“ Coaster in Disney Magic Kingdom Proceeds at Full Capacity
In the Disney Magic Kingdom park in Orlando/FL, construction works are underway at full capacity for the new “TRON Lightcycle / Run” ride attraction, which will be a similar installation as guests can experience at Disney Resort Shanghai. There, the “TRON Lightcycle Power Run” family coaster (supplied by Dutch manufacturer Vekoma) has developed into one of the park’s most popular visitor attractions since its debut in 2016. In Orlando, a major milestone in the construction of the similarly designed coaster was recently reached with the completion of the ride track. To fuel guests’ anticipation, two of the future coaster cars are already on display in the park. The novelty will be located in the “Tomorrowland” theme area of Disney Magic Kingdom, close to the “Space Mountain” rollercoaster. Its opening is scheduled for 2021, in due time for the 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.
