USA: Disney Springs Continues to Grow
Following the renaming as Disney Springs and the opening of several restaurants last fall (cf. EAP News from September 29, 2015), some of the best-known shopping brands and further restaurants will soon be added to Walt Disney World Resort's shopping, dining and entertainment complex. The Orlando, Florida-based resort announced a total of 30 new tenants. Thus, the extensive expansion at Disney Springs, which consists of four areas (“The Landing”, “Marketplace”, “West Side”, “Town Center”), is nearing completion. “Disney Springs has quickly become a favorite destination for our guests and they are going to love what’s to come,” says George A. Kalogridis, President of Walt Disney World Resort.
As of May 15, 28 new stores are slated to open in phases at the Town Center area, which offers a mix of shopping and dining along with a promenade. The well-known brands include “Anthropologie”, “LACOSTE”, “Under Armour”, “kate spade new york”, “Sephora” and “Lucky Brand”. Apart from the stores, Walt Disney World also announced four additional dining venues, including “D-Luxe Burger”, “Amorette’s Patisserie”, “Tablas Frontera” and “Homecoming – Florida Kitchen and Shine Bar”, for Town Center. Furthermore, the “Fulton’s Crab House” restaurant, located at the Marketplace area, will present its guests a new gastronomy concept as from this fall. (eap)
