USA: Dollywood‘s Splash Country Now Offers Barrier-free Water Fun
Dollywood‘s Splash Country water park, part of Dollywood Parks & Resorts, kicked off this year‘s season on May 14, which will run through September 5. There has been an improvement in the park‘s attraction offerings, especially for families with young children or children with disabilities. The “Little Creek Falls“ water play area, which features numerous spray elements, has become a “zero-depth“ zone, meaning that here the water depth of around 45 centimeters (18 inches) has been adjusted to the ground level. Here, wheelchair users and small children, for example, can now enjoy an accident-reduced water experience.
“At both Dollywood and Dollywood’s Splash Country, we are on mission to create opportunities for families of all abilities and in all seasons of life to enjoy […],” comments Jason Boothe, Vice President of Park Operations. (eap)
