USA: Kalahari Resorts & Conventions Opens Fouth Resort in Texas

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions’ owner-family Nelson announced this week that their fourth waterpark resort will open in the city of Round Rock, Texas. The expansion will mark the company’s first resort and convention center in the Southwest of the United States and its fourth destination overall. The Round Rock location will be themed likewise the already existing resorts in African design. It will offer more than 1,000 guest rooms, indoor and outdoor waterparks, restaurants, a family entertainment center, a spa and convention center. “We are incredibly excited to bring our authentically African resort experience to the Southwest for the first time,” said Todd Nelson, owner of Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. The city’s Mayor, Alan McGraw, added: “This game-changing project will be a great benefit to our community, continuing our efforts to diversify the local economy. We look forward to working with the Nelson family to bring their vision to reality in Round Rock.” After the opening of the resorts in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin and in Sandusky, Ohio, the third location has been opened in summer last year in Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania (cf.
