USA: Legoland Florida to Expand Water Park
Only recently after it has become known that Legoland Florida reportedly intends to build a new resort (cf. EAP News from February 11, 2016), the theme park located in Winter Haven announced its plans for the opening of its first major water park expansion since the water park was put into operation in 2012. The new “Creative Cove” area is scheduled to welcome its first visitors on time with the start of the water park season on March 12.
Creative Cove's main attraction will be “Build-A-Boat”, an interactive play experience which is already part of Legoland California’s and Legoland Malaysia's water parks. Build-A-Boat offers children the possibility to build their own boats with LEGO bricks and then race them on a water course. The course features contours and design elements that affect the boats’ progress.
Furthermore, water park guests will benefit from new food options, additional seating and free Wi-Fi service. A spokesman states that Legoland plans to eventually expand the wireless internet service throughout the whole park. (eap)
