USA: Lost Island Theme Park Opens Tomorrow

The Lost Island Water Park in the US state of Iowa has been successfully operating since its inauguration in 2001 and will tomorrow finally celebrate the opening of its second gate, the Lost Island Theme Park. On an approx. 64-hectares-large site, the new theme park will offer its visitors a variety of attractions and experiences for the whole family. Developed by the American BDR Design Group, the park is divided into five themed areas: “Mura” (fire), “Awa” (water), “Udara” (air), “Yuta” (earth) and “Tamariki” (spirit). Each of the themed lands features an individual architecture and a selection of themed rides.

In the Mura area, guests will find the “Mura Fury” pendulum ride among others, as well as the “VOLKANU – Quest for the Golden Idol” dark ride experience by Sally Dark Rides, which is the signature experience of the Lost Island Theme Park. In the Awa water area, guests can enjoy a panoramic view over the park area riding the “Alzanu’s Eye” Ferris wheel. Visitors can expect a particular high thrill level in Udara, where they will find a roller coaster and other rides that will take them up high into the air. Especially the youngest guests can get active in the Yuta area, which offers another roller coaster (“Matugani Launch Coaster”) as well as an interactive digging area (“Pengalis Ruins”). The Tamariki zone is primarily designed for young children with a number of kiddie rides. (eap)
