USA: Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to Open 5-D Attraction

As Six Flags Discovery Kingdom, located in the US state of California, recently announced, this month will see the opening of the new attraction “Pacific Rim 5-D” at the theme park’s Iwerks Theatre. Developed by SimEx-Iwerks Entertainment in cooperation with Warner Bros. Consumer Products, the ride is based on the feature film “Pacific Rim”. The science fiction adventure from filmmaker Guillermo del Toro, Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures deals with the fight between giant extraterrestrial monsters and robot fighters created by humans.
“Pacific Rim 5-D” will offer an exciting 3-D movie combined with 4-D and in-theatre special effects, making it a thrilling ride experience. “Bringing in an intense, high-energy and popular movie like Pacific Rim to our Iwerks 5-D Theatre is a great addition to our thrill line-up. As North California’s most thrilling theme park, kids and adults alike will be blown away being part of the ground-shaking action,” says Six Flags Discovery Kingdom’s President Don McCoy.
