Universal’s Epic Universe: Five Themed Lands Revealed
The new Universal theme park Epic Universe, which is currently being built in Orlando (Florida) and due to celebrate its grand opening in 2025, will comprise five themed areas. These were unveiled by Universal Destinations & Experiences today. Visitors will begin their journey in “Celestial Park” with acres of rolling gardens, chasing waterways and strolling pathways. It will be the gateway to explore the four additional worlds of Epic Universe through a set of majestic portals. Those other worlds are: “Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic”, “Super Nintendo World”, “How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk” and “Dark Universe”.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will blend the 1920s wizarding Paris from Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Fantastic Beasts” films with the iconic British Ministry of Magic from the Harry Potter series. Entering Super Nintendo World, guests will discover a new way to play as they step into the worlds of the video game’s characters Mario, Luigi & Co. Nintendo-themed lands are already part of Universal Studios Hollywood and Japan. In the How to Train Your Dragon zone, guests will soar with dragons in a colorful world filled with Viking adventures. Last but not least, Dark Universe will let guests encounter everything from the experiments of Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world of myth an mystery… In total, there will be more than 50 attraction, entertainment, dining and shopping experiences.
Epic Universe, which is Universal Destinations & Experiences’ fourth theme park in Orlando, will also see the opening of three new Universal hotels, one of which – the Universal Helios Grand Hotel – will be located within the theme park. ■
