Universal Orlando Shares Details about Universal Helios Grand Hotel
(eap) Universal Orlando Resort has shared details about the coming new Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel – another themed hotel under development, that will offer direct access to the future new Universal Epic Universe theme park. This will soon rise as a palatial building with a Southern European-Mediterranean flair on the edge of the Epic Universe park grounds and will offer a total of 500 rooms. The hotel, which will be co-owned and operated by the New York-based hotel company Loews Hotels & Co., will feature amenities including a rooftop bar and lounge with 360-degree views of Epic Universe and beyond, a spacious pool area with a swimming pool (and integrated underwater speakers), a jacuzzi and rentable cabanas, a fitness centre, an arcade games room and a full-service restaurant, shop and market.
According to the underlying story concept, guests enter the palace of Helios, the sun god from Greek mythology, as soon as they enter the hotel lobby. Based on the central “Celestial Park” theme area in Epic Universe, the lobby is being designed to create a celestial atmosphere full of brightness and colour. The hotel rooms, which will be available in various categories, are designed to radiate the blissful tranquility of a flower garden through a warm colour scheme. Many of the rooms will have a direct view of the park. For a special overnight experience, there will also be a selection of themed rooms based on the DreamWorks (Universal Pictures) animated movie blockbuster “How to train your Dragon”.
The presentation of the Universal Helios Grand Hotel, a Loews Hotel is following the announcements of the also new Universal/Loews hotels “Stella Nova” and “Terra Luna” made this spring, which will also be located not far from Epic Universe – c.f. EAP News of 12 April 2024. ■
