Wolfsburg AG: Funding for Theme Park “Landleben” Secured
The financing of the historical 13-hectare village facility in the north of Wolfsburg has been secured. A “finance package” of 2.25 million euros has been agreed upon for the project. The equity ration of entrepreneur and operator Hartmut Gehrmann is included in this package, along with the investment loan of a bank and municipal subsidies of 330,000 euros. The amusement park is to go into operation in March 2007; over the medium term, more than 40 new job positions are planned. “Landleben” (country life) wants to make both agricultural and historical manual work methods and products into a true experience. In doing so, the concept concentrates on the subjects of nature, handicrafts, nutrition and cuisine. (eap)
