accesso Acquires VGS and Relaunches “accesso Horizon” Platform

Spaß im Themenpark - Guest experience always starts with ticketing and queuing.

(eap) The accesso Technology Group, which provides technology solutions for visitor attractions and venues worldwide, recently announced the acquisition of VGS – a provider of ticketing and visitor management systems for leisure, entertainment and cultural businesses. As part of the acquisition, VGS’ “SnApp” platform will now be relaunched under the name “accesso Horizon℠” and be included in the accesso product portfolio.

VGS has built a broad customer base since its founding in 2011, including theme parks in Orlando, Dubai, Singapore, Japan and China. In addition to theme parks and zoos, the company has also been able to support other visitor attractions, such as the Pyramids of Gize, in ticket sales, distribution and redemption.

With comprehensive features, global functionality as well as scalability capabilities, the platform is designed to enable visitor attraction operators to manage all guest services in one system. An open API is said to allow integration with other systems for the solution hosted either locally or in the cloud. For guests, the platform is said to offer a seamless experience across all devices. For operators, real-time intelligence will enable sales optimization through dynamic pricing, availability management and sales channel management. In addition, the solution supports both a multilingual user interface and the linking of multiple locations.

“I am beyond excited to announce the transformative acquisition of VGS. Its solution fits squarely into our technology roadmap and its top-tier customer base speaks volumes for the quality, scalability and functionality of the platform,” said accesso CEO Steve Brown. “This acquisition will allow us to provide our clients and future partners with technology that has the capacity to scale with their business long into the future and keep up with the growing demands of the modern consumer.”

“I’m delighted for VGS to join forces with Accesso. Our technology is complementary with Accesso’s offering. We share the same absolute commitment to providing the best possible unified solutions to optimise our customers’ operations and enhance their guests’ experience before, during and after their visit,” shared VGS CEO Paolo Moro.

The 33-member VGS team – spread globally across locations in Milan, Dubai, Singapore and Orlando – is now part of accesso. ■
