(eap) The first “monte mare & friends charity bike tour” of the monte mare group, which operates several leisure pool, sauna and wellness facilities in Germany, recently took place. Around 50 riders cycled on a tour of approx. 250 kilometres through North Rhine-Westphalia to various monte mare facilities in Bedburg, Krezau and Rheinbach to hand over donations for the “Vor-Tour der Hoffnung” (Pre-Tour of Hope). The Vor-Tour der Hoffnung has existed for almost 30 years with the aim of collecting donations for children suffering from cancer and their families. Monte mare was able to collect more than 15,000 euros and hand them over to the Vor-Tour der Hoffnung and regional organizations such as the Bunte Kreis Rheinland e.V., and the Kinderheim Dr. Dawo children’s home in Rheinbach. Monte mare Managing Director Patrick Doll is already sure that a charity bike tour will be hosted next year again. ■
