“Planet Earth III – Live in Concert” Comes to Germany

(eap) In September, the new multi-media concert experience “Planet Earth III – Live in Concert” by BBC Studios (in cooperation with FKP Scorpio) will tour through Germany. Following the previous Live in Concert tours with the program titles of “Our Blue Planet II” and “Planet Earth II”, this latest production also shows some breathtaking film images from BBC’s well-known “Planet Earth” documentary series.

Specially selected film material – which was shot by using drones, high-speed cameras and remote-controlled deep-sea vehicles in 43 countries on six continents and in the ocean – will be shown in 4K Ultra HD quality on a giant LED screen. In addition to an accompanying live presentation by marine biologist and “Terra X” presenter Uli Kunz, audiences will be able to enjoy the emotional sounds of the The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Matthew Freeman. They will play compositions by Oscar-winner Hans Zimmer as well as by Jacob Shea and Sara Barone (Bleeding Fingers Music). The audiovisual experience will be enhanced by sophisticated lighting and sound technology, for which the event technology service provider TDA Clair from Bottrop (Germany) has been commissioned. Partner for the LED technology is the Production Resource Group.

The Germany tour of Planet Earth III – Live in Concert starts on 19 September in the Rudolf-Weber Arena in Oberhausen, with the last performance venue being the Uber Arena (formerly Mercedes-Benz Arena) in Berlin on 1 October 2024. ■
