(eap) The Asia Resort Linsberg in Bad Erlach (Austria) was awarded the “2025 Ausbildertrophy” (Engl.: Apprenticeship Trophy) in the “Tourism and Leisure Industry” category by the Lower Austrian Chamber of Economy. The Asia Resort Linsberg leisure and wellness destination currently employs 165 staff from 19 nations and seven apprentices. Special offers forming part of the training at the Resort include further specialist training such as barista or young sommelier training, international internships in cities such as Lisbon, Barcelona or on the island of Gran Canaria as well as participation in industry events and trade fair visits.
“We attach great importance not only to offering our apprentices sound technical training, but also to providing them with the best possible support on their personal and professional journey,” emphasizes Andrea Jandrisevits from HR Management and Apprentice Training. Apprentice Smruti Frauenenfeld remembers: “My internship abroad in Lisbon was a great enrichment – I was not only able to expand my specialist knowledge, but also get to know new cultures and people”.
The Asia Resort Linsberg relies on creative recruiting strategies to target young talents. With the “Water, Wellness, Wok & You” campaign, apprentices are used as brand ambassadors to provide authentic insights into their everyday working life. “Our apprentices are the skilled workers of tomorrow. Through their training with us, they not only gain valuable professional experience, they also acquire sound specialist knowledge and gain the best career prospects through practical experience,” emphasizes Maren Konjevic, Head of Hotel Service. “International internships are particularly enriching – they provide insights into new ways of working, promote language skills and intercultural understanding. This strengthens the personal and professional development of our apprentices in the long term.” ■
