Austria: New Rollercoaster Restaurant to Open in Vienna

In May 2015 a new rollercoaster restaurant (cp. EAP, issue 3/2011) located directly just below the Ferris wheel of Vienna’s Prater will be opened to the public. The 210-seat restaurant will be the first master franchise restaurant operated by Rollercoasterrestaurant Franchise GmbH & Co. KG in Vienna. A special feature and world premiere: the new rollercoaster restaurant will feature two catapult launches that “shoot” meals and drinks through a loop each before they are transported to the guests’ tables. The two-story restaurant will also feature one “normal” loop starting in the upper area of the building, then going through the ceiling to the gallery in the lower level. A laser show rounds off the visitor experience at the new rollercoaster restaurant. (eap)
