China: IAAPA Expo Asia in Shanghai Kicks Off Tomorrow
Tomorrow, IAAPA Expo Asia (formerly Asian Attractions Expo), organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), will kick off at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. The three-day international trade fair, which has established itself as an important marketplace for the Asian leisure and attractions industry, returns to the Chinese metropolis for the third time after 2006 and 2016, and will take place until Friday (June 14th). The IAAPA expects around 8,500 participants from over 60 countries; over 400 companies will present their products and new developments on a total area of 13,000 net square meters (divided into three exhibition halls).
Trade show visitors will be able to participate in an extensive seminar and conference program to learn more about topics such as marketing, government relations and information technology. At the Leadership Breakfast on Thursday, key note speaker Joe Shott, President & General Manager of Shanghai Disney Resort, will give industry professionals an insight into current trends and developments in the Asian leisure market. The Opening Night Reception (on June, 12th), which has turned to one of the most popular networking events during the Asian trade show, will take place at the Shanghai Haichang Ocean Park, which opened its doors for the first time in late 2018.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Shanghai! (eap)
