(eap) The US waterpark chain Kalahari Resorts & Conventions (managed by the owner family Nelson) has announced a comprehensive expansion for its location in Wisconsin Dells. With an investment volume of around 85 million US dollars, a 75,000 square foot (almost 7,000 square meters) indoor water world with a retractable glass roof, new large slides, pools for relaxation and an area for children is to be built by autumn 2026.

The slides will be supplied by WhiteWater West. There will also be a spa pool (“Lost Lagoon”), a zero-depth entry pool with tanning edges (“Watering Hole Pool”) and a swim-up bar for adults (“The Grotto”). For children, there will be a kiddie slide pool called “Coral Cove”.

“Kalahari could not be more excited to announce this indoor waterpark expansion in the Wisconsin Dells, the Waterpark Capital of the World! With new slides, pools, a swim-up bar, spas, and more, there’s something for every member of the family to enjoy,” enthuses Todd Nelson, CEO, owner, and founder of Kalahari Resorts. “My wife and I opened the first Kalahari Resorts in the Dells 24 years ago, and it’s been an incredible journey. Kalahari is so much more than a waterpark – It’s a place where families can come together. After two and a half decades of creating memories here in Wisconsin Dells, we’re excited to expand our offerings and invite even more families to experience the spirit of togetherness,” he says. ■
