Dubai/UAE: IMG Worlds Announce to Build Second Theme Park
Following the opening of Dubai’s new IMG Worlds of Adventure indoor mega park back in August this year (c.f. EAP news from August 31st, 2016), IMG Worlds, the entertainment arm of the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari (IMG) Group, now announced the construction of a new indoor theme park, which will be built adjacent to the IMG Worlds of Adventure.
IMG Worlds of Legends is the name of the new destination under development, which will feature eight IP-themed areas such as Nickelodeon, Ubisoft®, Pokémon, Mattel and Cartoon Network. In total, the park will comprise nine areas that are built on approx. 19 hectares (2 million square feet). Besides a variety of food & beverage and retail offers, visitors will be able to enjoy interactive rollercoasters, water-based attractions and a live entertainment program. Thanks to a retractable roof, the theme park can welcome its guests “open-air” during the winter season, when the desert’s heat is less strong. The official opening date of Dubai’s next leisure destination has yet not been announced. (eap)
