Germany: Europa-Park Announces a Range of Novelties for this Season
During a press conference today, Germany’s Europa-Park has announced a number of novelties for the 2019 season for both individual attractions and entire theme areas of the park. Space fans can look forward to a new space-themed adventure in the shape of a 360-degree film entitled “Mission Astronaut”, which will be presented in the park’s “Traumzeit-Dome” film theatre.
The existing “Fjord Rafting” attraction enthuses guests with a redesigned tunnel turned into the home of a troll and featuring a range of new special effects. On the “Alpenexpress” coaster, riders can try out a new “Coastiality” VR experience, while the new twelve-minute animated movie “In the Park at Night 4D” from Mack Animation will entertain guests in the “Magic Cinema 4D”. In the “treasury chamber” exhibition area in the park’s German theme area, visitors can already gain a first insight into the new “Pirates in Batavia” family attraction set to reopen next year with a new immersive experience.
Furthermore, Europa-Park is planning to open its renovated “Scnadinavia” theme area this year, which will include a new “Fjord Restaurant”. There will also be a new family dark ride where visitors will be able to meet the octopus “Snorri”, who will be the mascot of the Rulantica water world, which is currently under construction adjacent to the park and will open its gates on November 28th this year.
