Germany: IAAPA Presents Industry Trends at EAS Press Conference

The Euro Attractions Show (EAS), which takes place from September, 26th-28th at Messe Berlin, takes up speed: At today’s press conference, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) – organizer of Europe’s largest trade show for professionals of the attractions industry – has presented interesting facts and figures of the European theme parks landscape within the scope of its “Economic Impact Study”. According to IAAPA, a total of 307 theme and amusement parks spread over the whole continent attract around 150 million visitors annually, generating total revenues of some five billion Euros. Furthermore, current industry trends include Virtual Reality applications, immersive theming, the creation of so-called hybrid parks as well as IP-based attractions.
