Germany: Outdoor Swimming Season in Karlsruhe Started

Last Friday, Karlsruhe’s Sonnenbad, operated by Karlsruher Bäder, kicked off the 2022 outdoor pool season... yes that is right, the outdoor pool season. At a mild 15 degrees outside temperature, around 60 people came for the first swim in the 28-degree-warm pool – the traditional event is organized by the association Freundeskreis Sonnenbad e.V. and the facility operator Karlsruher Bäderbetriebe. During the off-season from February 18 to May 6, bathers are able to enjoy the swimming offer from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. At the end of the season, the Sonnenbad is also organizing the “12-hour swim” again this year, which will take place on October 8, 2022, and will collect donations for Lebenshilfe Karlsruhe, a regional live aid project.
