Germany/Sweden: Boda Borg Is Coming to Ruhr Park! First German Location of the Team Experience World to Open in 2023

The Boda Borg brand of team adventure worlds, which was founded in Sweden back in the mid-1990s and since then has been offering exciting quests and missions for teams of three to five people of almost all age groups, is now coming to Germany: the first Boda Borg adventure world in the country is set to open in the second quarter of 2023 at the Ruhr Park shopping center in Bochum, which belongs to the Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield (URW) group. Guests will be able to choose from a total of 25 “quests”. Each quest will consist of three to four connected rooms, with the doors between them only opening if the team of players manages to solve various sub-tasks of different kinds and skill levels. Those can require physical fitness as well as logical thinking, combinatory skills and tactical action – the challenges can only be mastered together working as a team. With its future offering, URW aims to further diversify the leisure activities portfolio of its flagship shopping center location in Germany’s Ruhr region in the sense of “Retailtainment” – to date, this has included in particular a UCI cinema world.

There are currently seven Boda Borg locations in Sweden, one in Ireland and the U.S., and another location in Switzerland, where the newest Boda Borg Adventure World opened at Riedmatt Center Rümlang (Zurich) in late 2019. (eap)
