Holiday World Announces Family Coaster for 2024
(eap) Santa Claus, Indiana-based theme park Holiday World (with the associated water park Splashin’ Safari) has announced its very-first family rollercoaster. Scheduled to open next year, it will be called “Good Gravy”. Visitors can look forward to a family coaster by Vekoma, which (related to the complete distance travelled) will be 457 metres (1,500 foot) long, up to 23.5 metres (77 foot) high (spike element) and almost 60 km/h (37 mph) fast, so that people as tall as one metre can enjoy the new attraction.
Thematically, it will be about nothing less than saving Thanksgiving dinner: Grandma Gracy is out of gravy! Park guests will need to quickly help her prepare a fresh batch of gravy – dodging all sorts of kitchen accessories and ingredients during this snappy action. Visuals of the ride give an idea of the theming. The coaster novelty is to open at Holiday World in May next year. ■
