IAAPA Attractions Expo 2015 Open to Visitors
Today, this year’s IAAPA Attractions Expo, the world’s largest trade show for the amusement park and attractions industry, starts in Orlando, Florida. Until Friday, November 20, more than 1,000 exhibiting companies, including 140 first-time exhibitors, from nearly 40 different countries present their latest products and technologies on a net exhibition space of around 51,300 square meters at Orange County Convention Center. According to the trade show’s organizer, the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), this is the second largest trade show floor in the event’s 97-year history. “The trade show floor is massive. In fact, you’ll walk more than nine miles of aisles if you want to see all of the great, business-changing innovations featured at this year’s Expo,” IAAPA President and CEO Paul Noland comments. More than 28,000 visitors from 100 countries are expected to participate in the trade show. As usual the event will be accompanied by an extensive framework program including seminars, speeches and additional events. During a special celebration, for example, IAAPA will announce this year’s IAAPA Brass Ring Award winners. In different categories, the prize honors excellence and creativity within the industry. For the first time, the Attractions Expo features a special exhibition area dedicated to exhibitors from the food industry. (eap)
