Ireland: Tayto Park Announces New Viking Attraction
Tayto Park, an Irish amusement park and zoo, recently announced to open the new flume ride “The Viking Voyage at the Park” this summer, which is already under construction on site.
The new attraction from Interlink will immerse guests into the world of the old Vikings, including a Viking village, five replica ships and 20 life-size Viking figures. For its operation, the ride requires around 1.7 million liters of water – over ten thousand tonnes of concrete and 500 tonnes of steel have gone into the construction process so far. Tayto Park, which will open its doors on April 7th this year in due time for the Easter Holidays, invests around 5.5 million Euros in the new attraction. (eap)
