KRIEGER Architekten Take Over blass architekten

Erste Zusammenarbeit von blass architekten und KRIEGER Architekten | Ingenieure GmbH war das Freizeitbad de baalje in Aurich.

(eap) KRIEGER Architekten | Ingenieure GmbH has taken over the company blass architekten from Euskirchen and thus establishes a third location in Germany in addition to Velbert and Koblenz. KRIEGER Architekten specialize in the planning and realization of sports and leisure pools and can look back on a company history of 90 years, during which the firm implemented over 270 pool projects. The company now employs a total of almost 60 architects, engineers and technical experts.

Michael Krieger, managing partner, comments as follows: “We are enormously excited about this growth opportunity. We have known and appreciated the colleagues from Euskirchen for a long time and know that they have done excellent work in the past years. We are taking over a functioning team with a very good order book.” blass architekten was founded by Heinrich Blass in the mid-1990s. Since then, the architectural firm has completed about 50 major projects, which include municipal swimming pools and recreational facilities as well as schools and kindergartens. “With their professional know-how, the team from Euskirchen suits us in many respects. In particular, their expertise in the area of special-purpose real estate properties such as schools and kindergartens enable us to extensively expand the portfolio of KRIEGER Architekten | Ingenieure.”

Heinrich Blass is giving up the independence of his company as a result of insolvency proceedings. “Of course, it hurts to stumble over a claim from the year 2000 after such a long time. As a young architect, I had taken out insurance for consequential loss at the time, which could not cover the tile damage in one of the first projects, which was later estimated by an expert. Today I am glad that I have found a buyer in KRIEGER, especially for my employees, who can offer all of them an outstanding perspective. That was particularly important to me in this situation.” The core team of seven employees received new contracts, Heinrich Blass becomes manager of the office in Euskirchen and can thus continue to support the projects and established customers with his colleagues. ■
