Netherlands: Convious Adds Google’s New “Things to do” Functionality to Its AI-Driven Platform

Convious – the Dutch e-Commerce platform provider and app developer for leisure attractions with headquarters in Amsterdam and further European offices in London, Nantes and Vilnius – today announced the integration of Google’s new “Things to do” functionality into its AI-driven platform. This new organic search feature will help users to find attractions and leisure destinations in their respective areas of interest. They will appear with photos, key information such as opening times and real-time pricing. Customers will then be able to book tickets through the Google “Things to do” side bar directly from the attraction. Convious has been testing the tool since January and is currently onboarding its partners, who can look forward to profit from a streamlined visitor purchasing experience. Dynamic changes in pricing are carried through to the Google landing page, too. “Things to do” will be officially launched this spring in English language, further languages will be rolled out throughout 2022.

Camiel Kraan, Founder & CEO of Convious, says: “In the past two years, according to Google, travel-related searches saw a 150 per cent growth from mobile devices. This makes it essential for attractions to optimise the online journey for their customers and capitalise on this opportunity for enhanced online visibility and optimised customer purchasing experience. We will be rolling this feature out to all our existing customers as part of the base marketing package and it will be automatically included for all new partners moving forward. The Convious difference comes from tracking all online engagement, not just sales. This feature not only improves the company's ability to capture data for analysis, but also provides additional opportunities for the AI engine to drive sales.”

Among the functions that Convious offers its customers as part of various product packages is a dynamic pricing solution that is designed to help optimize capacity utilization, staff deployment and thus also operating costs in leisure facilities.
